(I decided to delay the second part of my article “Desire Isn’t Sin?” until next week to make space for a more timely article.)
You may recall back in April my traveling to Lexington Kentucky to keynote for the Race Track Chaplains of America national conference. One of the participants, Humberto Chavez, is a chaplain at Belmont Park, site of the now-denied Triple Crown this past weekend.
Amidst all the pre-race frenzy, Fox News chief religion correspondent, Lauren Green, conducted a great interview with Humberto about his role as a chaplain to the backside of the race track at Belmont:
Fox News interview with the chaplain at Belmont Park race track
Way to go, Humberto! Proud of you, bro.
There are lots of men and women doing lots of great ministry in places we would never give a second thought if it weren’t for someone bringing it to the spotlight for us.
To Humberto and everyone else reading this who minister God’s mercy to those in need – whether in the public spotlight or hidden in obscurity – thank you for what you do in the name of Christ!
