OK, so what I did last week didn’t really work after all.
After stopping to “ask for directions” from a professional, I think the blog is now ready for receiving comments.
If you missed my thoughts from last week, I mentioned how I’m the reluctant sort when it comes to technology and all things social media.
So, I’m just proving it in real time.
For me, it’s a good reminder to stay teachable and willing to grow through learning. Whether it’s on display for others or not, we can see failure as an opportunity for improvement and doing things better the next time.
I’ll take a blogging break for the next couple of weeks to focus on doing some hard edits on the manuscript for my next book, Unburdened: The Christian Leader’s Path to Sexual Integrity, which I’ll share more about in early December.
In the meantime, while the world of commercial retail has already moved full steam ahead towards the cash-cow of Christmas, let’s pause to focus on Giving Thanks. It’s a good antidote for all the world is bombarding us with in the commercialization of Christmas, which only leads to more stress.
It’s hard to be discontent for what we want and don’t have when we’re being thankful to God for what we do have.
After all, compared with most of the world, we’re very blessed.
