Gay Marriage and the Supremes

With the Supreme Court’s refusal to take up a lower court’s case involving gay marriage rights in five states, many are trying to interpret where the high court stands on the issue.

An NPR article titled “Did The Supreme Court Just Legalize Gay Marriage?” is a thoughtful article that seems rather plausible, both in the court’s thinking and in the practical implications of their inaction.

As I predicted six years ago, “we will likely have gay marriage in all 50 states by the end of an Obama second term”.

As Christians, we should continue to pray for the Church to have a compassionate, yet biblical response to this defining cultural issue.

Just as important, we ought to take time to examine our own response, especially with friends and loved ones who identify with the LGBT community.
